Board of Directors

Amanda Cabreros, Director of Solar Projects

1Hi! My name is Amanda Cabreros, and I’m a second-year in Chemical Engineering here at UCSD. Ever since I joined, ESW has introduced me to so many opportunities. I’ve learned countless skills coming to events and being involved in the projects, and I’ve been able to achieve higher opportunities of sustainability in my own life through this organization. I’m happy to serve as Solar Director to help the solar projects in any way I can, and I’m excited to watch them create new products and achieve new goals.

If you have any interest in any of the solar projects or ESW in general, feel free to email me at amanda.cabreros@gmail.com.

Victoria Thai, Director of Renewable Energy Projects

23Hello! My name is Victoria and I am a second-year Environmental Engineering major! My passion and love for sustainability and the environment led me to join ESW my first year at UCSD. I hoped to be a part of a group of individuals who wanted to change the world for the better, and that’s exactly what ESW does! I am currently a member of Green Fuel Cell, where we are building an economical small-scale hydrogen fuel cell system that is powered with hydrogen from local sources. With this, our goal is to educate the UC San Diego community about this alternative source of energy. I was previous VP of Information Management and am now the current Director of Renewable Energy Projects. As Director, I hope to help my projects reach its fullest potential by providing them the necessary skills and resources to achieve their goals.

If you have any questions, thoughts, or concerns, please feel free to email me at: vvthai@ucsd.edu.

Jenny Hong, Director of Resource Management Projects

16Hello! My name is Jenny Hong and I am a fourth-year Physics major! I joined ESW right when I came to UCSD my transfer year because it combines sustainability and engineering into a very hands-on organization filled with a diverse pool of like-minded individuals. This group of brilliant and innovative students has given me invaluable skills and opportunities to further develop myself as a professional and my own practices in achieving a zero waste lifestyle. I have been the project lead for Lotus for over a year, and I am now the current Director of Resource Management Projects. As director, I aim to push my project leads to redefine their capabilities, and I am looking forward to working with them and their members this upcoming year.

If you have any questions or inquiries about ESW or the current resource management projects, feel free to shoot me an email at jth006@ucsd.edu.

Quiana Stodder, Director of Sustainable Mechanics

27Greetings! My name is Quiana, and I’m a third year Environmental Engineering major in Revelle College. Although I joined ESW as a freshman, I really got involved during my second year and I can easily say it was one of the best choices I’ve made here at UCSD. Not only have I been able to develop practical skills in the pursuit of environmental engineering applications, I’ve also found myself surrounded by talented and curious individuals with a genuine love for sustainability. As Director of Sustainable Mechanics, I hope to support the sustainable mechanics projects as they reach their goals; I can’t wait to see what they accomplish.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions regarding ESW or our Sustainable Mechanics projects — my email is qstodder@ucsd.edu. Take care!
